This charming restaurant has quickly earned a reputation for offering richly flavored, thoughtfully prepared dishes that draw you into the heart of Thailand’s culinary traditions.

Diners consistently praise the attentive, genuine hospitality, which adds a personal touch that feels more like a welcoming home than just another dining spot.

The menu at Kin Sen Thai is a carefully curated journey through Thailand’s most beloved dishes, designed for those who crave depth and authenticity. The Kao Soi Short Ribs stand out as a must-try: tender chicken leg and thigh immersed in a Northern-style curry, topped with pickled cabbage that brings a perfectly balanced tang to the rich, comforting broth. It’s an experience that one customer described as “perfect for fighting off a cold or just craving something deeply satisfying.”

Equally enticing is the Kao Kha Moo, a five-hour braised pork shank slow-cooked in Thai herbs, paired with jasmine rice, pickled cabbage, and Chinese broccoli. This dish is a revelation in layering flavors — deeply savory, fragrant, and tender to the point of melt-in-your-mouth bliss. Paired alongside classics like the Red Curry and the Green Curry, each dish is rich with fragrant curry paste and creamy coconut milk, simmered with fresh vegetables to create a symphony of tastes and textures.

For lighter starters or sides, Kin Sen Thai offers delights such as crispy Gyoza and crunchy Pot Stickers, fresh Edamame, and refreshing Cucumber Salad — perfect for balancing the bold curries and noodle dishes. Don’t miss the Mango Sticky Rice, a silky, velvety dessert that lingers deliciously on the palate, celebrated by patrons as one of the best in the region.

The restaurant also shines with versatile options like the Pong Karee, a mild yet flavorful stir-fry with a delicate yellow curry twist, and the Prik Khing, a vibrant, chili-paste infused dish bursting with green beans and aromatic lime leaf. The portions are generous, reflecting true value — perfect for sharing or savoring as hearty single meals.

Kin Sen Thai doesn’t shy away from playful, refreshing beverages either. The Butterfly Lemonade and traditional Thai Tea are popular picks that complement the bold flavors and add a touch of sweetness and vibrancy to the dining experience.

Customers rave about their visits, echoing sentiments of discovery and delight: “One of the best, if not the best Thai places in SLC,” says one regular, praising both the generous portions and authentic tastes. Another shares how the food’s quality and flavor “made me sad I waited so long to try it,” underscoring Kin Sen Thai's ability to captivate both newcomers and seasoned Thai food enthusiasts alike.

Whether you're craving the complex warmth of Northern Thai noodle curry, the crisp, fresh notes of a vegetable stir-fry, or the sweet finish of sticky rice and mango, Kin Sen Thai stands out as a culinary gem in Millcreek. Food Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Don’t skip on: Khao Soi and the Pad Thai We came across Kin Sen Thai while driving around the area a while back and I’m so sad it took me so long to finally remember to try the restaurant out! There is a decent variety of noodle and rice options for this pan-Asian restaurant. Their specialties are still Thai cuisine, which is what I ended up ordering. We got the Khao Soi, Pad Thai, Crying Tiger, and the Kin Sen Rice. The kitchen was a bit backed up, but when we finally got out food, everything was delicious! Our fried rice was normally supposed to come with white rice, but the server came out and asked if we’d be ok with brown rice and we agreed. It was good, but I don’t typically order it and would like to try it with white rice instead. The Pad Thai had good flavors and the Khao Soi was one of the best I’ve had in a while. The crying tiger steak was cooked to a medium rare - what I personally prefer. The staff were all very welcoming and the restaurant was well kept. Can’t wait to go back and try more items!

Food was very good. Ordered Drunken noodles with tofu, love the basil in it, also had broccoli, cabbage, green peppersand zuchini in it. Very flavorful. Beware and go mild on spice they use 1-5 scale. My husband ordered a 2, for spice for curry dish. He said it was perfect. Try it out for lunch or dinner, won’t be disappointed. Sorry, Took a photo after I took a couple bites. Large portion.

Lovely place with good food! The atmosphere is clean and nice. The location used to be different restaurants, and we were the only ones here on a Thursday night.

I ordered the beef boat noodles and wow, absolutely amazing! The broth was rich, flavorful, and comforting, perfect if you’re fighting off a cold or just craving something deeply satisfying. The beef was tender, the noodles cooked perfectly, and the fresh herbs and bean sprouts added a great balance. The service was 10/10 too! The owner was so kind and welcoming, which really added to the experience. I’ve also heard their mango sticky rice is the best in SLC, so I’ll definitely be coming back to try it next time. Highly recommend Kin Sen Thai if you’re looking for authentic, delicious Thai food served with genuine hospitality.

One of the best, if not the best Thai places in SLC. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. The boat noodles and khao soi were especially great, and the mango sticky rice was one of the best I've ever had. The wait staff was also super nice. Would definitely come back again.

This little place is a hidden gem. I had almost given up on finding a good Asian spot in this city. Food was delicious, place was clean, service was amazing, music was relaxing, prices not outrageous. Definitely will return!

During this day, I was really craving hainan chicken. After some research, I discovered there is a Thai version of hainan chicken. It is called Khao Man Kai. I drove an hour to Kin Sen to try it. Though very very similar to hainan chicken, I did not taste as much ginger/garlic infused flavors in the rice and chicken. However, it was still pretty good. What I really liked was the yum woon sen. It was my first time trying it and now I'm a fan. Now, I will always try to look for it at any Thai restaurant I go to. The pad thai was fine. I did NOT like the papaya salad. It was WWWAAAAYYY too sweet. This salad alone dinged a star off of my review. It did not taste like a traditional papaya salad at all. Practically just sugar and water was used as the dressing. The roti dessert was fine, but I can tell they used old ice cream. From the scoop of ice cream I was given, I could clearly see freeze burn marks all on it. Overall, this place wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. I will say that the entree portions were huge; very generous of them. It got busy fast. It's not a huge place but still had a nice chill vibe to it.

Everything we ordered was delicious and full of authentic flavor. The Kao Soi was rich and comforting, the Green Curry had the perfect balance of spice and creaminess, and the Thai Ceviche was so fresh, but the standout for me was definitely the Curry Dumplings! On top of the amazing food, the service was warm, attentive, and so friendly, which made the meal even better. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend this place!
